BODY CONTACT CONFIDENCE and CHECKING MINI CAMP

THIS MINI CAMP will run over a Five (5) day period and is open to advanced players at the Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam age levels, playing High School, In House and Travel hockey.

Conducted By: Wayne Evans and John Craig assisted by Various Coaches and Players

Coach Evans is the Director of Hockey for Face Off Circle, the Bucks County Generals and Falcons. He is also the Ace Coordinator for the Glaciers Ice Hockey Club and was the Assistant Director of Girls and Women player development for the Atlantic District of USA Hockey. He has been sub- contacted by various summer camp organizations to be a main group instructor and has coached and has been a hockey instructor for over 25 years in the Delaware Valley at the Junior, Keystone State Games, Tier II, High School, College and Adult levels and is a USA Hockey Certified Master Level Coach.

Coach Craig is the On Ice Director of Hockey for the Glaciers and has coached and has been a hockey instructor for over 25 years in the Delaware Valley at the Junior, Keystone State Games and Tier II levels.

CHECKING CLINIC FOCUS: Body Posturing  for Safe and Effective Checking and Angling, How to take a Check Safely, Various Body and Stick Checking within the new rules, Angling, Rub outs, Finishing Checks and Winning Puck Battles.

ADDITIONAL FOCUS ON Skating, Puck Protection and Escapes (avoiding checks)

Each Mini Camp session will consist of One Hour & 15 minutes of Instructions and Drills followed with a 15 minute controlled scrimmage at the end of each session.

Camp will be closed at 25 players per age level

Times:

(10 yrs old and Under)           5:45 PM   to    7:15 PM

            (11 yrs old and Older)             7:30 PM   to     9:00 PM      

Cost:

$75.00 for all 3 Sessions.       $30.00 Walk-On
