If you are an official who is looking to be the best hockey official you can be, have a great time, and meet great people, this camp is for you! You will be instructed by top officials, listen to dynamic guest speakers! This is a great opportunity for the official who wants to succeed!

New this year, in addition to excellent instruction, the camp offers tremendous exposure opportunities. You will be observed by various league scouts and supervisors.

Previous Camp Instructors:

Tim Nowak, NHL linesman; Ian Walsh, NHL referee; Mike McDevitt, AHL linesman;  Nygel Pelletier, AHL referee; Aaron Lundbohm, AHL linesman; Leo Boylan, AHL linesman; Paul Nichols, AHL linesman.

A main focus of the ice sessions will be power skating & positioning. The most important skill for the successful official is skating! It is also the one skill that officials do not practice. This camp is designed for the official that wants to raise his game “to the next level”. Skating is the fundamental building block around which all other officiating traits revolve. Good skating ability helps an official to be in position to view the play. This position, in turn, helps the official to see more of the play and make more sound judgments.

Each aspect of skating is broken down so the official can understand and apply in game situations.

The camp will provide the official with instruction that is currently being used at the USAH National camps and Professional Training Camps.

All drills are designed to improve all aspects of officiating!

At the end of each ice session, we will move to the classroom to discuss topics specific to improving your performance on the ice.
